Football Week Timing: When Boards Post and Results Land

The publish schedule

Tuesday through Saturday at 11:00 UTC (7 AM Eastern during daylight time, 6 AM in standard time): the week's board is built, or rebuilt for games not yet played.
Tuesday through Friday at 21:00 UTC (5 PM Eastern in daylight time): a second daily pass that picks up the day's injury and depth-chart news.
Sunday at 14:00 UTC (10 AM Eastern in daylight time): the final pass before the main NFL slate.
NFL and college run on the same schedule. The Saturday morning build is the last one before most college kickoffs.

What changes during the week

Each rebuild starts from the latest injury designations, practice participation and depth charts, so a card can gain or lose a diamond between Tuesday and Sunday as availability settles. That is by design: the board says so when nothing yet rates 4 diamonds, because ratings firm up as the week goes on.

A rebuild only touches games that have not kicked off. A player ruled out mid-week drops off the board for their game day and is not graded. The board header shows when the current slate was generated, and turns amber when a football slate is more than 30 hours old.

Cards freeze at kickoff

Once a game starts, its cards are never rebuilt. Whatever target, projection and rating the card showed at kickoff is what stands, and that frozen version is what gets graded. Days whose games are over leave the board, so on Sunday night an NFL board shows only Monday's game, and on Saturday night a college board is nearly empty.

Frozen cards still count. A game played before a mid-week rebuild stays in the week's grading and on Results even though it no longer shows on the board.

Follow alerts

In the app, a player's page has a follow button for NFL and college players. Two kinds of alert exist. Top-rated: a followed player has a card rated 4 diamonds or higher on this week's board; the alert names the target and opponent and reads 'Research, not a guarantee.' Ruled out: the NFL injury report lists a followed player as Out. Ruled-out alerts come from the NFL injury report, so they do not fire for college players.

Each alert is sent once per player, per kind, per week, and only for games that have not started. The alert opens the player's page for that sport.

When results post

Grading runs every morning at 13:15 UTC (9:15 AM Eastern in daylight time, 8:15 AM in standard time). Every free pick and every Top Pick (4 diamonds or higher) is checked against the final box score using the same N+ target the card showed: reached is a win, short is a loss, no stat line is a void. So a Thursday game grades Friday morning, Sunday's games grade Monday morning, and Monday night grades Tuesday morning.

The Results page shows each week's free-pick and Top Pick records, a pending count for games not yet graded, and Top Pick records by market. It reports aggregates only, wins, losses and voids alike. When a week was never published, Results says so instead of showing a gap.

A week at a glance

Tuesday morning: new board. Three free picks and the count of 4+ props are set for the first time.
Wednesday to Friday: two rebuilds a day. Read the confidence reason and the 'Why this could miss' line as injury news lands.
Thursday night: the first NFL game kicks off and its cards freeze. It grades Friday morning.
Saturday morning: the last build before most college kickoffs. College games freeze through the day and grade Sunday morning.
Sunday morning: the final NFL pass. Sunday games freeze at kickoff and grade Monday morning.
Monday night: the last NFL game. It grades Tuesday morning, the same morning the next week's board posts.

A weekly reading schedule

1Tuesday: read the new board, note the free picks and the number of 4+ diamond props, and follow the players you want alerts on.
2Midweek: re-read any card you care about after the evening rebuild; check whether its confidence label or rating moved and why.
3Day of the game: read the card one last time before kickoff. After kickoff it is frozen and nothing you see will change.
4The morning after: open Results to see how the graded games landed and how many are still pending.
5End of the week: read the week's record by market before the next Tuesday build replaces the board.

Common pitfalls

Expecting a football card to update after kickoff. It is frozen from then on.
Looking for a game that was played yesterday on the board. Played days leave the board but stay in grading.
Expecting a ruled-out alert for a college player. Those come from the NFL injury report only.
Reading a pending count as missing results. Grading runs the next morning, not at the final whistle.
Reading a Tuesday rating as the final word. Injury designations settle late in the week.
