Collect the daily slate
We pull in the day's MLB schedule, probable pitchers, and lineup status so we know who is expected to play. When lineup status is not yet posted, we show it as unavailable rather than guessing.
Set the research reference
We identify pitcher and hitter markets worth researching — strikeouts, total bases, hits, home runs, and more. When an authoritative market line is available we use it; when it is not, we use a clearly labeled research benchmark instead.
Grade the matchup
Our model scores recent form and season baselines, plus whichever contextual inputs are actually available for that game — matchup history, ballpark and conditions data, and lineup status. Inputs we do not have are marked unavailable, never estimated.
Apply guardrails
We flag potential concerns — like uncertain lineup status, thin samples, or tough matchups — and cap data-confidence labels so nothing gets overstated.
Surface the research signals
The strongest rows are highlighted in the Free Preview, in the full research board, or as Home Run Radar research candidates. Research benchmark rows are labeled as benchmarks, not as market lines.
Explain with AI
When enabled, the AI Analyst turns the computed stats into plain-English reasoning so you can see which inputs drove a research signal — and which were unavailable.
